I love people when they're stupid:

Stupid things people have asked when coming to Australia.

I've been asked a few stupid questions myself. One was do I know Crocodile Dundee, and the other was (after I'd been in the country for only a few months) whether I spoke English or not in Australia. No... I just picked it up reeeaaallly quickly.

My aunt and uncle once told me this story:

We have an airline company called QANTAS and their symbol is a kangaroo so some Americans said something like "Oh, I can't wait to see their cute lil' Qantases." Heh.

Today at work: Guy drove in for an 8:30am class. We open at 9. His class was at 8:30 at night. He already signed up for another class at 8:30 at night. Poor man.

This week at work: (We were closed on Monday for Memorial Day) Someone called on Tuesday and asked if their Monday class was meeting today or will it's first meeting be next week? Well...considering today's Tues, even if it was meeting- you'd have missed it.

And I want to marry Richard Armitage and have his babies. Seriously, folks- he sings, dances, plays the cello, flute, AND guitar. Now where can I find footage of any or all of that stuff?

Could I love this man any more?

And no, DO NOT CALL HIM GAY. He's my Rrrrarmitage and I'll beat you up if you suggest it. :D

So I'm planning on going on a study abroad trip next year to England. I thought I would see if I could get tickets to see a filming of Top Gear while I was there.

Well- good news is, the tickets are free.

Bad news is: exhibit A:  **We are ONLY booking people in from our Reserve List which is currently running between two and three years. However, please do register your interest and if we do have any cancellations/drop-outs we will contact you*.


exhibit B: EACH BOOKING REQUIRES EQUAL AMOUNTS OF MEN TO WOMEN, SO IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON RESERVING TICKETS*, PLEASE ENSURE THAT HAVE A 50/50 SPLIT OF GUYS & GALS IN YOUR PARTY FOR US TO ACCEPT YOUR REQUEST.

And my car is dumb. It keeps failing emissions tests and the mechanics don't know what's wrong with it. If my Green Card comes this week and I can get a student loan- I'm buying me a new car ASAP. *sigh* I love you Smurfette... but you're old... And I know I still love Alan Rickman even though I lust after the young 'uns like Richard Armitage and Jack Davenport and I would never dream of ditching Alan...but my car, as beautifully blue as it is, is not helping me.
